My favourite place outside of market days to shop from around 60 producers who take great pride in the products they produce. Many of them are organic certified, or just grown with care locally. And the animal husbandry is correct meaning happy animals. At Naturellement Paysan – Coustellet, I learn what’s in season, so freshness is guaranteed.
It’s law in France that even at local markets, that you have to be informed of what country the produce was grown in. You will also see the name of the farm, and I love to ensure the farm is as local as possible. At NP you can check out a map at the shop of where all the farms are located.
The farmers all take turns working at the shop, and you will find correct prices with no middle men.
